What can you catch in the lakes listed below????? Trout, kokanee salmon, mackinaw and northern pike are the primary attraction on most frozen lakes, warm-water fishermen also can find some interesting possibilities...Reservoirs along the northern Front Range hold walleyes, catfish, crappie and yellow perch... We will post weekly reports on the lakes you want to know about....If you do'nt see your lake on here, contact us and let me know...I will get it on here for you.... Please always check the ice levels at all lakes and in different areas of the lakes...Always fish with someone and have safety picks on you at all times... Also remember to check each lakes regulations, as every lake is different...

Georgetown This 54 acre impoundment is located on I-70 just north of the town of Georgetown. Fish that can be caught include rainbow trout and brown trout. For updated fishing reports, contact the Colorado Division of Wildlife Northeast Region Service Center (303-291-7227). As of December 7, Georgetown Lake had at least 6” of ice. | Chatfield This 1,100 acre impoundment is located on South Wadsworth Boulevard, about 0.5 miles south of C-470. Fish that can be caught include rainbow trout 15-18”, walleye over 24”, smallmouth bass, bluegill and black crappie. Extreme care should be taken when ice fishing in the Denver area due to changing weather conditions. For updated fishing reports and ice conditions, contact Chatfield State Park (303-791-7275). Check out the updated fishery survey summary for more information. As of December 7, most metro lakes had only very thin ice. However, due to the latest Canadian cold front, ice conditions will improve.
